Renowned actor Ray Winstone has shared how he wanted to "knock out" one Hollywood legend after the star made offensive comments to his wife.
Having firmly secured national treasure status over the years, Ray has appeared in some of the nation's most beloved films, playing key roles in blockbuster hits including Sexy Beast, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and, more recently, King of Thieves.
As well as picking up a number of awards, another perk of the star's career has been the opportunity to spend time in the company of some of the biggest names in the acting world.
However, during a recent episode of the Things We Like podcast with Eamonn Holmes and Paul Coyte, the 68-year-old shared his true feelings about one particular Hollywood star.

Having shared in the past that he has never seen eye to eye with Jack Nicholson, Ray explained exactly why he has never taken to The Shining star: "We just didn't get on, you know. I just found him... Listen, he's getting older, and maybe he has lots of things going on with him. I didn't like him."
He added: "I thought he was so far up his own a*s, it was unbelievable. And, you know, he was very rude — he was very rude to me, he was rude to my wife.
"If he had been a younger man, I definitely would have knocked him out, you know."

Despite Ray’s damning recent comments, it's not the first time he has aired his feelings about Jack.
Back in 2014, during a BAFTA Life in Pictures event — after the pair had featured together in a star-studded cast in The Departed — Ray first made his grievances public, simply saying that they "didn't get on too well."
Despite his obvious disapproval of the 88-year-old, The Shining actor has previously received glowing reviews from fellow celebrities. Morgan Freeman once recalled his delight at starring alongside him in The Bucket List (2007), telling IMDb: "I think we all have a private bucket list. It may not be written down, but I'm constantly checking them off. I just checked off Jack Nicholson. Every day was a holiday because I've been praying at the temple of Jack ever since Five Easy Pieces."

Appearing in some of the most iconic films of recent decades, Jack's stunning back catalogue includes The Shining, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Broadcast News, and many more.
Such is his success on the silver screen that Jack is part of an exclusive group of actors, as he is one of only six to have won three Academy Awards.
