The VMC has also proposed a 2,000KW capacity floating solar plant in Ajwa Reservoir. The plant will be the first-of-its-kind in the state that will float on a pond.

The civic body will be setting up a Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring (CAQM) station in the city as per the guidelines of the Central Pollution Control Board. In the future, it plans to have four more CAQM stations.
VMC plans to rejuvenate and develop the Makarpura, Kapurai, Mahadev and Moti Bapod ponds an urban forest with Miyawaki technique at Rajivnagar.
Those using electric vehicles will soon have four charging stations operated by VMC.
On the heritage front, it proposes to put up signages of various ‘pols’ of the old city along with their history. It is looking to develop the space near the Tambekarwada as a painting museum. An art gallery is also proposed in Badamdibaug. tnn
