Joel McHale has insisted that a Community movie couldn't happen without Donald Glover.
Speaking to Indiewire, the actor – who played mature law student Jeff Winger in the sitcom – was asked about whether he had been approached by show creator Dan Harmon to do a movie spin-off of the cult series, which ended in 2015.
Explaining that Harmon has his hands full with Rick and Morty, McHale also suggested Donald Glover's success could be a barrier to a movie.
Glover played Troy Barnes in the series, and McHale was adamant that he would be a vital component of a Community movie.
"I don't think [Dan's] written it," McHale said. "He's got his hands full writing Rick and Morty.
"And getting Donald [Glover] would be very hard at this point unless we had $10 million lying around for him to appear. Donald, $10 million good for one day? We kind of need him.
"It would be great to do, I'd do it in a New York minute."
Glover's career has spiralled since Community, ranging from films such as Magic Mike XXL and Spider-Man: Homecoming to a leading role in sitcom Atlanta.
He can next be seen playing a young Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story, and after that the live adaptation of Disney classic The Lion King.
So yeah, he may not have time for a Community reunion.
