How about some truth Ms. Moulton (“Let’s give Trump a little credit,” Daily Camera, Jan. 3). Once facts are established we then can debate who gets credit for any good or ill that affects our country.

For example, half of the Keystone Pipeline was approved and completed under the Obama administration and has been operational for several years. About 45 full-time jobs were created. The other half was recently approved in Nebraska and we can assume construction will commence shortly.

There never was a “war” on coal. Simple market conditions associated with the production of natural gas and the more efficient and cheaper use within power plants causes the demise of coal production and continues to this day. One would think reading Ms. Moulton’s economic good news that Trump has created more jobs this year than Obama did during his last year. Not true.

The stock market is indeed at record levels, should it reach 45,000 it will approximate what Obama accomplished in his eight years; let’s wait and see. There never was a TPP to withdraw from, simply proposed legislation. Jerusalem has always been a capital city and our embassy remains outside. Trump’s action re: the Paris accord, is simply a non-binding withdrawal from a non-binding agreement that has no affect until 2020 other than isolating the U.S. from the international community.

Yes, and if one would believe Trump and that he cares about our police, the first responders, and our collective public safety, he would not have signed legislation allowing those deemed mentally challenged by the Social Security Administration to have access to assault weapons, nor would people on the terrorist watch lists have the same gun rights as those who are not.

All the tanks and armored personnel carriers in the world in the hands of our police won’t stop assault weapons from killing them. We spend about 600 billion dollars on the military to keep our country safe. We are on track to lose 80,000 citizens this year to drug related and gun related deaths. This crazy priority only makes sense if you follow the money flowing to our GOP representatives.
